The results for the side impact should be applicable for the 2-litre models here in Singapore because of the curtain/side airbags. The 1.6-litre models without it would warrant a lower rating.

Yup.. thats the analysis from Aus Ncap access.. severe injure.. to driver leg and the score is very low like 0.39 / 4... http://www.ancap.com.au/results/323/

Agree. Being careful is not 100% insulation. But the toughness of our car will assure us to a large extent, and without huge damage to our pockets given the lower car price over other makes. thumbsup
