Really pity the girl's father. It's heart-wrenching and painful to watch. The riots in Iran are getting real ugly by the day, it seems.

I saw it too...the father and some others were trying to save the girl as they thought she could still be saved. The moment i saw blood flowing out.confirmed that she could not be saved anymore..at that point of time.. my heart was really wrenched, really left a deep impression for me..

Wonder y so many sg ppl want the current main party to be overthrown...

Very true, too bad a lot of Singaporeans are not appreciative at all.

Although Singapore has no life..not as happening and freedom as other countries, every weekend always go to same places..like Orchard..Bugis..Suntec etc..would jope to go to other countries to enjoy..but ultimately will still tink that our own homeland is the best..really feel safe and homely here..

Glad to see so many patriotic ppl around. Let's hope that day will never come. Maintaining a defence force is as essential as having a thriving economy.

Personally I have no qualms about taking up arms when duty calls. It's the rather sloppy ways of getting things done in the forces that I have exeprienced during my NSF days and the yearly ICTs that sometimes put doubts in me with regards to the force's "3G" capability.

Dont worry, i use to think like u too, until past 2 years i start to think differently, i guess i was expose alittle to war scenerio, i also watch various war movies and shows, i just feel that if i dont protect no one will be there to do the same , thus, our innocent family members will have no one to protect. If war really break out, i want my wife to pack n run to a safe country also, so i believe what u think is still alright, if u dont run with ur kids, u cannot expect ur kids to fight along with u right

It saddens me immensely that there are Sgporeans who would run away instead of staying to defend this island. It amounts to betrayal and treason, imo. Hopefully, the majority are not of the same mentality. Otherwise, we would be nothing more than a nation of wimps and cowards.

It's alright if we send our wives and children to safety but to not stay and fight is cowardice in the extreme. Telling the truth and not criticising others for their cowardice in not wanting to defend their country, does not change that at all. It's still cowardice and any man worth his salt would want to be able to look himself in the face and say that he would defend his family and his country should the situation warrants it.

I pray that the day will not come when we have to take up arms to defend what's ours.

The iranian lady is dead, wrong place wrong time. It's so ironic that she's now a matyr and used as a catalyst for more unrest even though she's just a musician who happen to be there.

The least we can do is to say some prayers for her and let her poor soul rest in peace.

War and unrest will always be part of us. There's no peace if there's no war, no love if there's no hate, no man if no woman, ying and yang, life and death, no rich if no poor....the list is almost infinite man...it's just part of who we are.
