FOrgive me for this.
Share my suay day.

1. 9am - go toh guan to buy tools. Realize cannot find gps charger as I don't know how to go my next destination. Never mind go back home check and
end up cannot find. LL try to use up the remaining battery.

2. Switch on gps.. Found no map detected #*^+!!!
Bo bian , use directory.

3. Travel east to buy adhesive. Only this shop selling after so many phone calls. Cannot find location as kaki Bukit got
many blocks. Sweat like ****. Finally found and bought what I want.

4. Go to next destination.... In west #%*+!!!
gps not working .. So use goggle map iPhone because
Directory cannot find location.
So key in postal code and off I go

5. Follow the route and end up in shipyard road.....Siow.. Kena sabo by iPhone.
Lost my way and have to ask guard to guide me to AYE.
LL.. Cancel this appointment and go to changi north.
This one, I know how to go.

6. Reach home at 930pm.
Check my gps and found the problem is due to the sd card loose.
Push back and problem solve. #%+!!!

Check iPhone why sabo me.. Found key in wrong postal code. Xxx148 for xxx128.
#%**!!!

Look for gps charger... And found it in my bag and my bag is in the car all the while

DAmn suay... Finally it's over.

Forget to mention.
Did not fully release hand brake while travel from
west to east. Only reliaze it when reach desination

Perhaps as a back up, you should get yourself a copy of the street directory

alamak.. wat a day for u.. but try nt to depend fully on gps.. figure out the route b4 u leave.. gps helps to assist

alamak sorry to hear that man, but everyone has their bad days lah, so don get too into it

street directory will be good to act as a back up in case GPS or iphone fails on you.
note : iphone map most of the time gives me the longer route -.- whereas actual street directory can see the shortest route more easily at a glance

wow!! juz be more kiasu use gothere.sg or streetdirectory to familarise your route 1st. gps can pose a danger too if u rely lookin at it more than analyzin rd situation.

i glad my dad sponsored me wif a hardcopy of street directory juz in case. hehe

The default IPHONE google map thing, is not accurate when travelling above certain speed. Kenna a few times already but usually i wont relay on that on highways or major road, only when nearing to destinations to know the roads.

Alittle advice, as much as we want to rely on the GPS, after mapping the route, do spend 1 min just to look at the major landmarks to turn.

Perhaps I am very old schooled. I had always depend on the street directory or checking up on Google Map on the internet if I need to find a new place in Singapore. It is actually not difficult, and by memorising a few major landmarks or turns, you should be able to easily find any place in Singapore.

In fact I find overdependence on GPS only makes one more of a road direction idiot (no offence meant). Sometime you just need to observe the road direction signs, and you should be able to find your destination. Most GPS does not adjust to currrent traffic conditions, and if there is traffic jams or road closure, it may not be smart enough to find a more suitable route.

I had driven throughout western Europe as well as Malaysia with just the help of maps, with my wife as navigator without any problems. The most is we spend 1 hour trying to find our exact destination. And I find sometime getting lost a bit is fun, ha ha.
