Finally.... my windscreen crack after one year later

Knowing so many brother n sister have their windscreen crack, I kind of feel lucky for not having such problem, until this morning.
Three big and deep crack line develop at the right side of my windscreen. Sian........

well.. I always hear this piak sound when I drive for a while under the sun... maybe mine will too in a matter of time

Just praying and hoping that it wouldnt crack while driving......if not heart attack..... Finally.... my windscreen crack after one year later Icon_eek

Is this a common problem with all cars or it only happens to Kia cars or the Forte?

It's definitely not a common problem with all cars, but apparently it's been happening to quite a few Fortes.

Mine is also having those sounds... sigh... am just worried about the solar film when it cracks... who will pay to replace it?

Now where's that thread which C&C released stating that they'd honour all windscreen cracks of the above said nature for the entire duration of the warranty?

My windscreen goes piak, piak, piak, too. But I wonder if having installed the strut bars in the front and forward half of my car helps. *fingas crossed*

If C&C indeed issued a statement to honour all windscreen cracks, then it should mean KIA would have been informed about it. Hopefully the subsequent batches of Fortes will not have such issues at all!

Nope i have install front and anti-roll.... it still crack... regardless race , language and religion Finally.... my windscreen crack after one year later Icon_biggrin

think it is the pressure on the screen lah... either that or inferior glass..

It is quite irritating though to hear it ...

just this afternoon.. super hot sun! sooooo worry, drive off without AC for some distant then the moments turns on AC all the piak piak sounds starts... sianx... donno when.. this thing gives way..
so far this is the only main complain i have with our forte!...

lol.. u only install upper front strut.. Bro waypoint almost install all.. including upper front and lower front.. Possible might have chance to survive lo.. *fingers crossed*

ho ho ho...i jus got my windscreen fixxxed today at c&c...cracked jus after 5 months...hey dude...jus a reminder...if your windscreen got solar film...remember to ask c&c to fix up the solar film for u too!!!...dun let them get away so easily...hai...i waited 7 hours for everything to be done...and they took away my GARSON sticker!!!!

only solar film that is on the sales agreement, see and see then will do it foc, those outside one, i dont think they will do.

u can try to demand something from them for the replacement of the solar film..

pls be sure that u check your car carefully before leaving see and see, i got my doom light scratch and the side stained!!!

after i got my replaced it still has piak piak sound... they will replace even the sun screen but have to be done on a different day. mine 2 months only crack liao

Maybe it is the coolness that is the problem, mine cracked while sitting pretty at MSCP, cos its a red plate. Cracked when I was not using the car!!! Now heavy rain can also crack it... so that maybe explains why they don't insulate the heat from the centre portion, it is a screen saver...

Mine was solar film installed in JB, but they helped to transplant to the new screen. If you say nicely, and leave the car for 1 day, they might be willing to do more for you... (without tipping or paying)

Generally I have no complaint for this ride Finally.... my windscreen crack after one year later 332362

Bro, your solar film is from CNC Rikecool right ?
Thought they have 5years warranty or something.
I believe can demand CNC to replace it FOC. Finally.... my windscreen crack after one year later Icon_surprised

TS, have you had you windscreen replaced ?
As you mentioned that its after one year (warranty over already ?).
Is the windscreen replacement FOC ?

imagine cracking only after 3 or 5 years or something and C&c tell u, sorry the coverage period already over...

I never receive any letters pertaining to windscreen.........thats why.....
Bro, is yours a general letter ?
