There are many things you can do in M'sia.
Some even go there to pump petrol everytime.
On the other hand, there are also many that can't be bothered.

my friend did his for a hundred over RM...after 1 year...the tint faded away. Now got tint also like dnt have. It revert backs to quality and warranty. Some looks dark and nice but no uv rejection. some not so dark but have good uv rejection (making ur car cooler under sun). some have both..
I believe it depends on what you want and how deep is your pocket

Tks for explaining. Did ask around and the feedback was half support SG half support M'sia. My family 2008 tiguan was tint in M'sia for some time now and is still good as new with both darkness and heat blockage and the price is abt half of wat I heard here. Its nt so much abt money as I believe we spent a small fortune to buy a car, wats a few hundreds to protect it or to add comfort while driving but if I can get same quality products of half the price, I was just wondering if there's other reasons behind it.

Re: Any recommendation?
if u can find someone with the same or better workmanship and quality, by all means go ahead... Most of the ppl who prefer doing in sg is because they do not want to go through the hassle and risk of unknown quality in malaysia...

Just remember to be within the LTA limits for light transmission. And remember, darker tint might not mean better IR and UV rejection.
In our ridiculous heat, it's actually better to invest in a film that has the highest possible IR and UV rejection that you can afford, because it helps the aircon in cooling down your interior faster, and reducing the heatsoak load on the aircon actually reduces your fuel consumption. You can actually 'earn back' the cost of your solar film after a year or two from the lower petrol bills if you travel during the daytime alot.
