Jerking during downshift of gears

Dear all

Appreciate your help in any way.

Am a relatively new forte owner. Driving a SX 1.6 (A)

Have been driving it for 3 weeks now and I am not sure whether there is a problem with the car.

When I accelerate, the upshift is not smooth but still bearable. When I lift my foot off the accelerator, the downshift jerk is very significant, especially in lower gears.

Has anyone experience this before or is this a characteristic of the car?

nope gear change is smooth, visit your friendly neighbourhood c&c for assistance

Maybe u throw clutch when release ur clutch or u downshift to a wrong gear at a high speed.

lolx good 1... anyway bro u might have problem with ur gearbox or worst ECU get it check.. thats wat warrenty is for =)

hi i got the same problem of the car jerking forward when i lift my foot off the acc pedal but guess it is normal as my previous ride has the same problem have checked with mechanic and he said it is due to 4 gear so rpm is more strong but for 6 gear like rx8 there is no such problem.

Thanks for the replies. My previous ride was an 8 year old Hyundai auto and the gear change seems to be better.

Searched on the web and visited the Kiatechinfo too about their 4 speed auto for cerato.

For our car, they already have the error codes and problem solving etc. May be some mismatch at the gear ratio level.

Will ask C&C to check it again when I next visit them.

There was also a time when I started the car in the morning and left the carpark. The car jerked a few times when it shifted from gear 1 to 2.

Hope this problem will not get more serious.
