Re: MO for Enkkei/Kyowa/RM Sports rims
Hi melburn,
based on the quotes i got from some tyre/rim popular shops in sg
(based on 214/45/17):
eagle f1 gs-d3($140) + 17 inch taiwan rim ($170) = $310
310 x 4 = $1240 total
trade in SX's 17 inch stock rim and tyre = $500
means we only need to pay 1240 - 500 = $740
This is lower than your friend's quote by almost $100, and this is based on just ONE purchase, not MO.
perhaps you may want to ask your "friend" to compare his prices to the more popular shops in SG? You can pm me if you want to know where I got the quote from.
No offence meant k?

No offences bro, actually i roughly know which shops u referring to .
The "famous" shops get their tyres from my friend and they can "quote" u cheap on the phone.
I know that my quote and their quotes cannot compare, for me my concern is service.
I have encountered cheaper quotes from other shops and in fact my current rims are from PH.
The only thing y i didn't go back to them is that they quote me a price and when i go down they say that they dun have stock ask me choose another rim in the end i gt no choice and bought the other one at another price coz im alrdy there and my tyres are washed up. Some of my friends even waited for mths for their rims.
The prices we offer here is before MO discount reason is that if we state the real price ppl would go ard amk and ask for a lower quote and its nvr ending.
All i can gurantee you is that no such thing as my case above will happen, we are doing honest business .
In the end its the buyers' choice, for bros/sis who trust me and my friend we will be happy but if u can get a better price and service out there we are also happy.
*lastly not to mention Enkkei Taiwan rims are not very common, my friend is one of the few shops which can take in directly from supplier. u can ask around

Some additional info on Enkkei rims.
Enkkei is a japanese brand.
There are 2 types of Enkkei rims in the market, one is the super exp type from Jap another is a slightly cheaper version from Taiwan.
Not many tyre shops in sg offer taiwan Enkkei rims as they only distribute to certain shops, both Jap and Taiwan Enkkei rims have their own designs they do not overlap.
More pics to come soon....

More info on the free tyres rotation service
Importance of Tyres Rotations
Regular tyre rotation(Every 10000km) is important to achieving even tread wear and help to lengthen tread life. Rotation is necessary because of the front tyres wear faster than the rear and the uneven wear characteristics of each wheel position on the vehicle.
Uneven tire tread thickness, front to rear, will give you uneven braking and poor handling, especially in the rain.
If you don't rotate the tyres, you'll wind up replacing them two at the time, which means you'll always have uneven tread thickness.
Replacing tyres in a matched set of four will keep the handling and braking traction of the car balanced.
On certain cars, you may experience an additional problem when you do not rotate the tyres: tyres noise or humming on smooth roads.
