Not happy with CnC GPS

Just got the CnC GPS installed, however, i find that the screen has very slow response. Use my finger to press the screen but the buttons/icons doesn't respond. Sometimes touch the letter K, end up the letter J is input instead. Very difficult to use i find, anyone else has the same problem?

Is there any yearly subscription, and how to get updated maps? Any map for Malaysia?

Saw and played with the actual unit. Not that bad IMO. Has both Sg and West Msia maps but I have no idea how to update the map.. The map is pretty much the same as my PDA which is using mapking, however, CnC's using another map... response was quite good... but frankly speaking you can't compare the map with the 3D one by MapKing. My friend got the external one which you can carry around. The 3D map is cool... Anyway, I only like the reverse cam function...

Ok next week i fixed an appointment to go back to CnC where the GPS vendor will also come down, hopefully can fix my problem. Will try to remember to ask them about how to get updates.

who's the vendor? got webpage or not... mine not collected yet... so no chance to c...

Any idea if we can change the home screen image of the CnC GPS system? if yes, how? I wan to put my family picture instead....

under the front passenger seat there is a unit with various card slots. one of the slots is filled with an SD card. i believe the maps are stored in that SD card.

maybe the screen calibration is a little off? i have similar experience.

Problem probably is in the ROM - there could be a bug in the program.... u need to check with C&C to fix the bug. IT happens for other brands too. PRoblem with built-in-GPS.... cannot be detached.

Look like have to try to hack the GPS in order to update new maps.

I think it's more like to get the updated map and put in the SD card..

Didn't your SE warn u? Initially I wanted to get the GPS and the reverse cam too, but my SE told me the map have to pay money to update. Told me to get external instead. As for the reverse cam, told me got sensor y still wanna see for wat?

My SE don't know anything abt GPS... I got it for free from her... I like the reverse cam, better than the sensor IMO.... Hopefully gov dun anyhow change roads arh... kekeke
