Missed COE by $1

Hi everyone,

I was outbided by $1 in today's COE bidding. My dealer bided $15018, COE $15019.

Under such circumstances, what would be the possible scenarios?

Would appreciate your sharing please.

Then its no surprise, coz they still "owe" COE to those who booked in June, July or even May.
Another possibility is that your stock may not be here yet so they will most likely not bid for you first.

Worst scenario is that u gt urself a lousy SE.

hey man, i got outbid by $1 before, it was during my 3rd bid. I ended up having to top up. Better sound off to ur SE that you don't want to top up, make him work harder on the next bidding.

Basket! like that also can. They claimed to have immediate stock, which was why I opted for the light graphite color instead of metal bronze.

Meaning my SE will keep bidding unsuccessfully for the next few bids until the queue for the previous months are cleared?

What are the best possible actions I can take? Patience???

u can check thru the onemotoring webby...using ur nric number u shld be able to check whether u got it anot...

mkkiaforte, i think outbidded by $1 is heng/suay.
did you get confirmed COE by topping up ? If you do, better go bang table and chair at CNC. Rolling Eyes

If not, when you book your ride, did your SE told you its 6 bid non guarantee COE ?

Most of us here is under the 6 bid non guarantee COE and some got COE on 1st bid while some got theirs on the last few bids. Some also got to top-up in between the 6 bids to get confirm COE.

But i think CNC is more than willing to sell you the car. No point for them to entertain you and then dont bid or bid lower for you. I see that yesterday's COE went up to $15k+ due to more bids too. Maybe yours was outbidded on the last second by another dealer.

Hopefully you get your COE successfully soon and join the MU ! thumbsup

i feel that for those who need to wait long for their cars want, c&c will not bid so aggressive,

for those who has car waiting for COE want will bid veri high,

Today's Straits Times wrote that the next COE tender will be in 3 weeks time, which means: 9th September 2009, instead of the usual two weeks.

Which means car dealers will collect more orders, therefore increasing demands for COEs. (You have to chase the SEs to get a better bid)

The ST also mentioned that the two tender coming up next month, would be the last ones before, a supply revision made for the next 6 months starting from October 2009.

Based on the no. of vehicles taken off the road in the first half of the yr, which is the main determinant of COE quota size - COE supply could be reduced by up to 15% from October.

Details of the adjustments would be made late Sept.

agree with astroboy......also dun think CnC has many COE backlog now, most Forte buyer already gotten their COE (but waiting to collect their ride).....I wouldn't pay the extra 3K if I were you..... Very Happy

anyway i dun have much of a choice.. mum dun wan white, black, spicy red.. elder bro dun wan bright silver, champange gold, dark cherry.. i dun wan blue, orange, metal bronze.. in the end after all the filter we are only left with titanium silver.. happy with it though Very Happy

my SE say gotta wait cause titanium silver is rather popular.. scratch

and he says metal bronze gotta wait even longer cause its the most popular LOL
