Re: Operators' eManual
It will be even better if there is a servicing manual, anyway the E version could be for another country where some part are different, like right hand drive, different SAE for engine oil in cold country etc etc....

Re: Operators' eManual
There are service manuals for the Forte, but so far only found the 2.0l and 2.4l versions meant for the US/European Markets.
http://www.kiatechinfo.com
Have to register at the webby above and login to see the service manual for Forte. Do note that this website only supports IE...other browsers will have prob with this page.
heres a screen capture of a manual depicting the removal and replacement of the car's speakers:
hope this helps.. 8)

Point noted, Bro tish. But other than the left-hand drive issue, all other applicable settings or variables based on temperature and seasonal issues, we can just stick to the Summer settings or measures.
As for Bro ReDevil's lead, great stuff! Whatever the engine capacity, I believe there is more commonality in terms of parts than we think! =)

Nice link bro! quite a lot of technical information. Best to equip ourselves with a little bit more tech knowledge so that the "professional" service personnel cannot "hai gong" us!

Re: Operators' eManual
hehe.....
already planning to d/l the entire service manual and convert to pdf for quick reference on handphone........
was looking for this for some time as i am planning to wrap the interior panels....needed a guide on their removal, especially the HU area panel.
chances are this website will never ever have the 1.6L version we have locally as the Forte is sold only in the 2L and 2.4L versions overseas.
Either that or we purchase it from KIA.... . the workshop mechanics die die need this manual so its definitely available to them. anyone here on good terms with their SE can ask??

Better still, get it printed out and bound with an appropriately labeled cover. The next time you send your car in for servicing, leave it on your front passenger seat. Play the mind game.
When I was much younger, my Dad used to tell me stories of how car owners would leave certain marks and such on places the mech would have to manipulate in order to get the servicing done. A quick check after when the car was handed over would more or less confirm if things were properly and completely done.

Re: Operators' eManual
If the parts dept personnel is friendly, can ask for IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalogue). Thats what I did before over at Kah Motor. Cheers..
