Headlamp Fogging / Moisture Condition TSB

Latest TSB for Headlamp Fogging / Moisture Condition. Considered NORMAL.

If headlamp switched on for more that 30 mins but problem persist then can replace.

What if the chromed reflectors have already been affected(as in the reflective finish being marred/blurred) by the moisture drying up as the headlights heat up?

I may not know exactly what the condition is called, but I'm just describing it as it is...

it is cycle and carriage's ****... go outside to seal ur headlamps properly and the fogging will stop. No other car has this problem how can it be normal

Thing is, as mentioned by someone else before, it's not the seal... There is a U-shaped rubber plug that has an opening to it, with a foam filter of sorts, that allows the ingress and egress of air into the headlamp assembly. It doesn't matter if the air entering the assy is damp or not. And depending on the temperature inside, damp air either gets sucked-in or out resulting in the lenses fogging-up/condensing inside or drying-out.

I sealed mine, it stopped

Bro Waypoint, are you able show pic where to locate U-shaped rubber plug that u are referring to. I will going down to service center this Thursday to get them fix this problem. Glad that you found the source of the problem.

Thing is, the u-shaped plug is exactly what it is; a ventilation outlet. It allows air to pass through freely in and out albeit through a foam 'filter' of sorts. Will try to take a pic tomorrow during the day-time.
