Talking about golfing, I happened to be at Raffles Country Club for a company function, and I am amazed by the number of people playing golf there. Looks like there are a lot of people with lots of free time. By the way, most of the cars at the carpark are those big continental cars like BMW or Mercs.

try Orchid CC if convenient, the range balls are auto feeding type, no need to place balls on tee manually. They are also linked with NTUC, so NTUC members got some privileges.

Be prepared to throw in $$ for clubs, accessories and range balls......

if u serious abt getting into golf, sign up for some basic lesssons and practice, practice, practice. go for a PC test and then a handicap test. dun take the easy way out by buying a handicap card from m'sia or batam. all clubs in s'pore know a real handicap from a fake one as the name and NRIC is logged into the central register SGA which can be accessed online.

i took up lessons with 2 of my friends for $400/pax...10 sessions ending with 8 , 9 and 10 lesson at some batam golf course...not bad lah...but like wat redkoup said...once u learn how to swing...it all brings down to practice practice and more practice till you purrfect the technic...errmmm...i jus finished my 4th lesson...haaha...actually jus borrow a club from someone and try hitting a few balls...if u reallly like it...then go for it! you'll get hooked if u can get a puurrfect shot...wow...makes me itch for it now...

Where did you learn? 400/pax sounds quite cheap.
