Hot/warm air blow out suddenly

Hi Bros and Sis,

Did u encounter hot/warm air blow out suddenly from ur car aircon while driving? I've read about it under Problems/Enquiries/Concerns encounter for FORTE:

12) Hot/Warm Air-con blow out even though the dial had been adjust to much cooler.
Please ensure that your air-con is switch to "recirculate air Position" mode and not the "outside air position" where singapore air is always hot. I notice mind sometime will automatically switch to "outside air position" mode whenever i started the car with me noticing it.


My scenario differs in that I'm on "recirculate air Position" when this happens. I dun set aircon to auto mode too. I was driving along expressway when the aircon suddenly blow out hot/warm air and i was not even meddling with the aircon control. I manage to change it to cool air by turning the knob to cooler temp.

did u by any chance was meddling with the other controls and accidently hit the aircon controls?

My logic theory only...*** disclaimer - I'm no car mechanic or aircon nor electrical guru ***

The aircon condenser draws power from the car to run.....if you are maybe speeding up or something....the car could have move all the power to the engine......resulting in lesser power going to the condenser to provide cooling.........

Or the brain in the car, the ECU, is acting up?

Make sense or hogwash?

my hands are on the wheels as i'm driving alone without any passenger ... and no, i'm not meddling with anything else except the steering wheel

eh...normally i try to drive within speed limit and i try not to overtake. This happens today and I'm pretty sure tat i'm driving within the speed limit without overtaking when it happens. So not too sure whether ur theory will apply to my driving experience for today

It can happen, I think it happened to my car last night. Mine an EX (manual knobs), situation: started car, 5 minutes later aircon still blowing warm air, wife complains, switch one step to colder side and cooling starts, feels too cold, switch back, aircon is still cold.

oh, so is tat normal or need checking?

I treat it like a quirky behaviour of the car, as long as I know how to stay in control then I lazy to complain or request to check.
