My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
well well well..... since i've read so many complains from the bros here on c&c servicing, let me briefly describe my fabulous experience today.
sent in @ 8am, the scv consultant quite busy, talk very fast.
asked me to choose to get mineral or syn oil, so i mentioned synt. Thus he rattled on blah blah blah... change to syn oil, plus $60 engine flush plus $20 tyre rotation.
Me despite having oni slept 2.5hrs last nite but still quite sharp to reject the flushing. (thx to the great advise I read here). He didn't insist.
Then I read to him a list of problems/concerns I have for they to check. and their replies
1) EPS light on
C&C: they checked, nvr feedback got any prob.
Result: will monitor
2) Door rattling (driver side) when audio on due to bass
C&C: "we insulated your door"
Result: tested just now, ok problem solved. but now passenger side got rattling....
3) Steering wheel "tick" sound when full turn and return
C&C: we'll check
Result: "No problem, it's "OPERATIONAL NOISE", very normal
4) Front headlamp condensation
C&C: It's "NORMAL"; did not even log in the problem.
Result:
5) Accuracy of Distance-to-Empty meter
C&C: it's normal, it adjusts accordingly to the way you drive. Did not log in.
Result: i noob so i kept quiet.
6) sometimes got "Groan" sound when release brake pedal from full depress to lift up a little bit
C&C: due to sometimes got a bit of rust spots. there's no problem. did not log in.
Result: ok accepted. coz not much a prob for me.
7) 1 incident of flat battery when I parked for 5days
C&C: we'll check
Result: ok no prob.
8) Front tyres side wall a bit 'dislodged' down
C&C: adjusted back
Result: no prob.
9) Steering veer to the left
C&C: it's normal, road is not level.
Me: insisted they do something how about do alignment
C&C: ok alignment can, but $80.
Me: I had feedbacked since my 1K scv not rectified now want me to pay????
C&C: sorry sir, it's $80 coz we usually dun do alignment and now no free labour. We'll do the tyre rotation and see if got better and u monitor from there.
Me: no result. will do outside as per the other alignment thread here. (tested just now long drive @ ECP, not so bad, but it's still there...)
Left the scv center feeling steam steam (due to lack of sleep), and kept sneezing.
Maybe it's my morning sinius or maybe I'm allergic to ****.
pardon the long post.

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
when C&C did tyre rotation but never help customer to do alignment or balancing?
ckpay- Junior Member
Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
tyre rotation should be inclusive of balancing.
anyway, outside shops do tyre rotation ( usually about $15) don't include alignment. but $80 dollars a little ex. no point.
aiyah. feedback about the alignment for what? wheel alignment if off, is not included in warranty. If it's for our famous forte veer left syndrome, they also cannot do anything. end of the day, if need to do wheel alignment, have to fork out from our own pockets. it's the same for other car AD.

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
take note because our camber is not straight for left and right. Even you do alignment only without changing the camber it will not help much

To your knowledge on Singapore road or people complaining Steering drifting left.
Singapore road are designed in a way of slope to left.. just that we cannot see thru our naked eyes when we are on road but if u use a balancer u shld feel the different..
Reason is when raining heavily, rain water on the road suppose to stream down to left and then down to the drainage. If its uneven then we'll face problem like flooding or pool of water..
Our steering wheel is EPS not hydrallic.. which EPS is lighted and will slightly follow the road direction.. hydrallic is depend on tyre which your angle of the tyre and follow the direction.
This is the reason why all performance car are still running using hydrallic not EPS.. same goes to KOUP.. which use hydrallic too..
correct me if im wrong
If your car really drift ALOT towards left/Right.. then yes.. alignment is out.. what u can do is try driving at MSCP (recommended SK super long MSCP), due to its long level ground, u can test it by putting the steering straight and handfree.. then drive with a constant speed like 20-40km/hr and how long it takes to drift to left..
if in short secs then yes alignment is out.. if took quite sometimes.. then its normal..

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
The new batch of forte should be not electric, or so my se told me. I read my manual. Didn't say it's eps. SE say Kia change back cause pple feedback tat eps steering too light.

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
Yes.. New batches of Forte uses hydrallic now
not because of EPS steering too light as there's other car are using EPS too.. e.g. Honda Airwave

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
is it because of cost cutting?

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
Well tried on straight roads like mscp too. Veers left thru the road. My mscp not that long.

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
FYI MSCP also got slope to allow water run off.....so my suggestion is to try on the right side of a singal direction road when the surface is sloping to the right side, if ur car still veer left then alightment got problem, if car veer to right then its normal cos this is due to the the slope surface

Re: My fabulous 3rd servicing experience @ LK (11K)
Hmmm. Thx for the advise! Will try it out.
But most likely will get the alignment done at amk together with the chamber bolt thingy.
