speeding and summons
if in an event you are doing 140km/h on an expressway and the police are using a laser camera ontop of a bridge
how long will it take for them to send you the court letter?
also if you are caught driving on bus lane too...
anybody knows?

Usually, is within 10 days to 2 weeks. On the other hand, delays may occur. Good luck!!

140? Then good luck to your license.
It takes just about 7 - 14 working days.

Re: speeding and summons
Just a little history lesson of my own to share with you.
Year 1999, my 6 months old license was revoked. Prior to this revoke, I had another conviction which took $150 & 6 demerit points.
Expressway speed limit was 80km/h. I traveled 133km/h.
Penalty $200 & 12 demerit points. Almost go to court as exceeded 50km/h of speed limit.
I was young and foolish back then......

Re: speeding and summons
they wun bother to chase nowadays unless it's a stakeout. easier to hide behind a tree or at a corner of a bridge and let the postman do the chasing later. anyway, >40kmh it's a court appearance.

I will not apologise for what I am about to say.......
The way you had described how you drive your new car here and in mycarforum and saying how fast the Koup can accelerate, it is not surprising that you will be caught for speeding.
Hope Tp did really snapped you speeding excessively and take away your license to drive. We would then have at least one danger off the road.

If you just collected your car, you probably should consider running in your car. It is not just the engine but other components like brakes. Your brakes need bedding in and so do the rest of the components like oil pump etc. How you treat your engine in the 1st few thousand km will determine engine health in time to come.
If you really was going at 140km/h, then i would agree with the rest that you are irresponsible, empty road or not. Do it on the track please. One more thing; if I was going at 140km/h, I will not be writing it in a public forum. Perhaps boast to your friends but you do not know know who is lugging in here and they can haul you up. It is not hard to track who you are.
One last thing, the Koup is NOT fast at all, not even in 2 litre form. It is a nice piece of design by Peter Schreyer and his team with reliable but nothing to shout about mechanics. I would not even compare it to the RX8 as you so enunciated in MCF.
But to each his own and drive safe.

Re: speeding and summons
hmm I'm driving around 110~150km/l for about 3~4 hrs yesterday... ok lei.. cause me in north south highway....
within driving speed range... speed only when the road is empty and forte handling is still smooth on 140km/l....
But ask me to drive this kind of speed in SG... no way... the road is always full of cars even road like KPE no car but u never know which ah bang suddenly come speed through u...
So if you want to speed... go to the correct road and drive with brain not with your heart...

Hey was jerrrkkk the same guy who said he was going at 140km/h at the ECP stretch near the singapore flyer?? Where the many bends are?? Hehehe!! :-)
I agree with keigo!! Only on NSH can you go at those speeds. Spore can but no point cos once you reach those kinda speeds, you need to brake almost immediately already. Hahaha!! :-)
