Re: Fuel Consumption
I only trust what i paid and use.
The FC meter is for me to monitor how is my current FC.
Meaning if i got stuck in a jam, the FC will go up. If i travel highway, FC will go down. So i find using manual calculation suits me and to me, it is also more accurate. Cheers.

I just travelled from Sin-Ipoh and from Ipoh-Sin, clocked a total of 1200km. I noticed a full tank can last me 600km from Singapore to Ipoh and I still have 100km (dist to empty). Like yours, my meter constantly showed 6.5L/100km throughout the journey. I rev about 2500 - 3000 Is that good FC?
I am pleased as I can never achieve this kind of FC on Singapore road.
Thats v.good FC..did mine too... but realize our forte best spot FC is travelling around 100~120km/h. i did 6.7l up..simpang pulai (ipoh exit..)
but coming back at >140km/h or more.. and FC shots up to 7.4l... (i resetted all reading before starts of trip.. for both trips..).
oh btw, shell 95, both ways

Re: Fuel Consumption
Today, i travelled from changi to tuas at abt 90-95km/h, i saw the FC meter reading 6.3lts/100km. That's 15.87km/lts!!!! Wow, i am surprised with this good FC on my 1.6A SX. BTW, i'm using Esso 92 and pumped tyres to 240kpa recently......

Wow, at 240 won't crossing of humps be extra bumpy?
I am at 220 - prefer comfort over fuel consumption efficiency

I agree that our Forte has very good fuel consumption on highway but very bad on city. My one week of city driving showed double your fuel consumption at 13.5L per 100km.

Re: Fuel Consumption
Think so Forte save fuel only in 4th gear / OD... 1st 3 gears for city drivings is very bad in FC..

yup, agree that at 4th gear, the instant fuel consumption is below 10L per 100km mark.

Re: Fuel Consumption
pretty good FC
By the way, do you experience better car response when u pump 92?
For the past 8 months, I've pump Esso 92 and 95 and I always find that 92 give me better car response when I step on acceralator
Dunno y mine is 1.6EX (A)

Re: Fuel Consumption
The best I can get is 7.2l/100km, about 12km/l, on JB Shell 95. Will try Esso. My friend also said Esso one not bad. About the break, try to step on the break, switch off air-cond. You break pedal can go down a little more.
