Next MU can. But it will be better to organise a group DIY because the materials purchased is enough for 9-10 rides.

lam,
how's your fuel comsumption like?
mine sucks big time, i think its due to engine oil is way above the required quantity, around 1cm above the max.
Will KPKB at C&C when i go for my 1k servicing.

Sigh....but my FC is still not so good.
Travelling pattern is 60/40 or sometime 50/50 (highway / city).
Averagely i can get is 10km/l.
Mine is EX(A) and everything is stock.
Driving pattern is rev till 2k for first few gears (in urban driving).
Highway max going at 100km/h (rev around 2.5k)
Never hit 3k rpm before as its still run-in.
Mileage is just over 3k now.
Hmm.....hoping FC will improve after 6k servicing......
bro, have you tried to draw out some oil, er... i don't think need to fill until full full loh.

Too much engine oil will affect the FC greatly. Also did you check your tyre pressure ?
It seems to deflate by about 10 weekly. The norm is 220 but i usually increases to 230 before i pump. Hehehe.
So far the last pump was on Saturday (24th Oct) morning and the FC seems better.

Hello potatoes, i did not change my driving pattern.
Maybe because i started to inflate my tyres to 230 ?
Well, it could also have been that i did travel more on highway last week.

for your 1K servicing, did your change your engine oil to syn or mineral oil? dunno what it is like if change to syn will help to improve the FC.

Hello Forte899, i did ask them to change to synthetic oil as i read some post saying that its not worth it because synthetic oils can last 10k at least. So i am considering to change this time round or next.

hi bro pessimizt and all,
Ok, Just want to hijack pessimizt's thread to share my experience with my MB (EX) A so far. think don't start another thread cause too confusing ...
Got my car on 19th of Oct, currently about 400km+ only.
Review
(1) so far so good, no SDW, no funny sounds (sometimes, got a little bit but i ignore them)
(2) sound insulation is ok but I can hear small pebbles hitting the bottom of the car very clearly when going past roads with road works / pebbles
(3) FC so far is ok... didn't calculate exactly but don't think it's not as thirsty as the nissan sunny i used previously.
(4) Engine...still run in..so never rev but whenever I switch to triptronic, I kinda of smelled a strong an engine smel..but I used auto, it's fine again (honestly, I dont know how to use this function well).
(5) Air con: Hot in the day, cold at night. Think it's not powerful. maybe, the air con insulation will help.
Overall, so far so good
Pls feel free to share your views..

sound insulation is ok but I can hear small pebbles hitting the bottom
of the car very clearly when going past roads with road works / pebbles
(3) FC so far is so-so... averaging 10 - 11km/l (still on Mineral Oil).
(4)
Engine still run in, so never rev past 3k rpm.
(5) Air con: After insulation, i use 2-3 knobs from the max on hot noons. Previously, i need to use max on hot afternoons. Fan speed still need to blast to 2 on super hot noons (for before and after insulation). In morning and evening, i usually use 4-5 knobs from max. Verdict: Can be better (Or is it the solar film also plays a part ?)
6) Talking about solar film, started to see some bubbles on fron tpassenger and driver side window. Going to send it back to Rikecool for rectification.
It is a good car to drive and enjoy. Value for money.
- Gives power when required (2.5k rpm and above).
- Handling is ok (responsive and stable).
- Brake is good (i find it responsive and good)
- Drive is very comfortable on normal roads (can go to 100km/h without realising) but i find the suspension is a little too stiff (bumpy on uneven roads)
Cheers !

so far i find when i rev to 2.6 - 2.8k rpm (still below 3k rpm), the vehicle is giving me enough power to pick-up when coming out of slip-road.
maybe will reach 3k or 4k rpm when i go malaysia to clear carbon......hehehe.

No need to wait till express way one la...
If you are the first car in traffic... just press the accelerator a little harder lor...
No need to maintain 4k all the way one...
5 - 10 sec also ok one.

Honestly...
To clear Carbon... I rev till 70-80% of the RMP before red line....
But never do it for my car yet.

Dun need lah so new clear for what. Just a topic somehow evolved
If you do drive with 2.5-3k rpm most of the time, dun think there will be too much carbon built up. For my old car, i just do it adhoc. Use 92 ron most of the time and just change to 95 and rev higher to "clear" carbon as and when i feel like. Not sure how good that works. But only started doing that alittle after one year.
